Since the pandemic, local bars + restaurants had to get a little creative with their outdoor seating during the colder months — and now for some spots, it’s here to stay.
Well, baby it’s already getting cold outside. From fire pits to space heaters to igloos, here are some local businesses that are heating things up:
❄️ Public Greens | 902 E 64th St., Broad Ripple
If you walk the Monon in Broad Ripple, you’ve probably passed by this patio. Public Greens has turned on its fire pits outside + is bringing back its private greenhouses for heated dining — here until early spring.
❄️ Pivot Bar & Balcony at Hyatt House | 130 S. Pennsylvania St.
Pivot Bar & Balcony jumped on the igloo trend and adding the wintry outdoor seating to their balcony above the Hyatt downtown. The igloos are available to reserve now through March 1, 2023. Email for more information.
❄️ Vivante at Hotel Carmichael | 1 Carmichael Sq., Carmel
Enjoy Vivante’s French fare food while cozying up in an igloo with a view of the Carmel Christkindlmarkt this holiday season. The igloos can fit up to six people and are open during Vivante’s dining hours for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. To reserve your igloo, email or call 317-688-1036.
Make sure to book your igloo reservation soon because they sell out fast.
❄️ Daniel’s Vineyard | 9061 N. 700 W., McCordsville
This McCordsville vineyard has eight themed igloos for you to enjoy with up to eight guests. You can book them for two hours $40 on Wednesday-Thursday or for $75 on Friday-Sunday. Reserve your spot.
❄️ Field Brewing | 303 E. Main St., Westfield Igloo rentals are back at Field Brewing’s outdoor dining space. The igloos comfortably seats eight guests and can be rented out for $40 for 2 hours. Pro tip: Although the igloos are heated inside, it can still feel chilly in cold temperatures, so dress accordingly.Book online.
❄️ Urban Vines Winery & Brewery | 303 E. 161st St., Westfield
Back by popular demand, Urban Vine’s igloos are back up and ready to get icy. The igloos house up to eight people — and include space heaters, music + lights. Reservations have already started online and they’re filling up, so book yours soon. The igloos are available November through March and book for 2 hour time slots.
