With the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments now underway, we’re joining the fun of bracket competitions with a face-off of our own.

Last year, you helped us name the best breweries: Metazoa Brewing Co. This year, we asked you to share your favorite burgers in Indy. Now — thanks to you + the help of a random generator — we have the official lineup for our bracket.

What’s your favorite burger in Indy? | Graphic by 6AM City

Who’s in the running

Going head-to-head in the first round are:

🍔 317 Burger and Turchetti’s
🍔 Baby’s and Flamme Burger
🍔 Kuma’s Corner and Bru Burger
🍔 Workingman’s Friend and Twenty Tap

How it works

Beginning today, we will host several voting rounds within our newsletters and social channels to determine Indy’s best burger. Who moves on is up to you. Vote for your favorites, and the burger joint with more votes moves on. Simple as that. We’ll go until we have a champion, which will be announced in our Friday, March 31 newsletter. You will be able to vote once per round.

How to participate

Vote for the burgers you’d like to see advance to round two using this poll. You can vote for all four spots or as little as one. Once we count all the votes, we’ll share an updated bracket and new poll in an upcoming newsletter.

THE WRAP

Today’s issue was written by Anna.

Editor’s pick: We like to keep things hyper local around here, which means we almost didn’t include Kuma’s Corner in this year’s burger bracket. We know, that would have been a travesty. But did you know that Kuma’s is actually part of a small chain (we’re talking four locations, total) that originated in Chicago? At this point, though, stopping in and grabbing a gigantic half-pound heavy metal-themed burger before heading to a show at the HI-FI or White Rabbit is as Hoosier as a sugar cream pie. So we kept it in the competition.
