You shouldn’t have to drive far to get your hands on local produce – so we’ve come up with a list of farmers markets happening across the city.

Here are the outdoor farmers markets that are bearing fruit near your neighborhood this season:

The Original Farmers Market, Market St. between Delaware + Alabama streets
Market hours: Every Wednesday, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. — starting on Wed., May 4

Garfield Park Farmers Market, 2345 Pagoda Dr.
Market hours: Saturdays, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. — starting on Sat., May 7

Broad Ripple Farmers Market, 7700 N. Meridian St.
Market hours: Saturdays, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. — starting on Sat., May 7
Count the dogs at this farmers market, where you can also get them a few artisan treats.

The Market at White River State Park, 801 W. Washington St.
Market hours: First + third Sundays, 9:30a.m.-1 p.m. — starting on Sun., May 1

Binford Farmers Market, 6620 Northview Way
Market hours: Saturdays, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. — starting on Sat., May 7
Get your herbs from Bloomers Greenhouse at this north side market.

Irvington Farmers Market, Ellenberger Park, 5301 E. St. Clair St.
Market hours: Every second Sunday, 12-3 p.m. — starting in June
This is a favorite for City Editor Anna — both because it’s walking distance from her house and because it starts later so she can sleep in.

North Church Farmers Market, 3808 N. Meridan St.
Market hours: Every other Thursday, 4-6:30 p.m. — starting on Thurs., July 7
Formerly known as the 38th + Meridian Street Farmers Market, you can get your produce from Flanner Farms here.

Indy Summer Farmers Market, 727 N. Oriental St. + 2236 E. 10th St.
Market hours: Wednesdays, 4-7 p.m. + Saturdays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. — starting in May
This is the first year for the market, hosted by Growing Places Indy — the organization behind the Indy Winter Farmers Market.

Pike Farmers Market, 5429 Lafayette Rd.
Market hours: Saturdays, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. — starting on Sat., June 18
Most vendors at this brand-new market will be from Pike Township, including locals slinging fruit, honey, baked goods, and soap.
