Let’s be real: Indy’s food truck scene has been on a roll — but it’s also tough to keep up with all of these eateries wheeling around. (We’re still looking forward to the idea of a food truck park).

Luckily, taste-testing food trucks is one of our unofficial hobbies, so we’ve got all the delectable details on 11 mobile eateries around town, plus advice on how to track them down.

Note: We always recommend checking online to confirm locations before heading out, as these details can be rather fluid.

Paco’s Taqueria

This popular local taco joint has storefront locations at 4390 N Keystone Ave. + 5202 E. Thompson Rd. but you can also snag some street tacos on wheels. Most recently, the business shared that its truck will be parked outside its newest location opening soon in Carmel.

Chomp’z Truck

This truck has something for everyone — from tacos to burgers. It has been wheeling around Indy since 2016 + caters at parties, business lunches, breweries, and other events. You can keep up with Chomp’z on Facebook.

Black Leaf Vegan Food Truck

Black Leaf Vegan was Indy’s first vegan food truck.

Black Leaf Vegan

You may have seen Indy’s first vegan food truck most recently at the Indiana State Fair. Menu favorites include vegan burgers + vegan loaded nachos. Soon, you won’t have to worry about chasing their truck — Black Leaf Vegan is getting ready to open a storefront at 335 W. 9th St.

Taste of Manila

Taste of Manila is the first Filipino food truck in Indianapolis. You can taste traditional dishes like lumpia, pancit, and adobo bowls. Check their Instagram or give them a call to find out where it is.

Chef Dan’s

This food truck is known as an “OG” in the Indy area — serving up southern comfort food like cajun chicken pasta, jambalaya, red beans + rice, and collard greens. This truck has made appearances at Speedway’s Daredevil Food Truck Fridays.

Indy Sakura Express

Indy Sakura Express is the food truck version of the Sakura Express restaurant at 7201 N. Keystone Ave. and serves up the same high quality and delicious Japanese cuisine. Try the Japanese curry, takoyaki, or Japanese style fried chicken.

Books, Bourbon, and Bacon

Known for its Korean-style corn dogs and bourbon buttermilk beignets, this food truck always showcases an eclectic menu and can be found in the downtown Indy area. Follow its social media to see where it’ll be next.

Birrieria Iturbidense

Parked at 6302 W. Washington St., this food truck is the perfect spot for a late night snack. It takes birria to the next level with its birria pizza + ramen as well as tacos and some surprising sweet treats.

Pi Indy

This unique food truck has one side of the food truck that allows patrons to see them cook up the wood-fired pizza right from their truck. You can create your own or choose from its specials which include the Figgy Piggy and Corn Pi. Pair your pizza with breadsticks and you are good to go.

That Vegan Joint

This vegan food truck is serving up comfort food like burgers, pasta, mac and cheese, and loaded jackfruit fries. Follow it on social media to see where it will be next.
