The first phase of full closures on Broad Ripple Ave. has begun. The portion of the avenue between Guilford + the Monon Trail is expected to be closed through December as part of the drainage, resurfacing, and sidewalk widening project. 🚧 (Broad Ripple Random Ripplings)

A Florida-based developer is proposing to build a rental home community in the Legacy development on the northeast side of Carmel. The plan filed to the city calls for 230 single-family attached and detached homes + 120 garden-style apartments. It tells the story of Emmett Till and his mother and aims to educate families about a historic event that fueled a national movement. At some establishments though, tipping is being cut, or shifting to a hybrid model where tipping is still allowed but menu prices are increased so everyone is paid fairly. The change comes from the idea that servers should make a living wage.
