We get it, sometimes the change in seasons also calls for a change of pace. It’s that time of year when departments and organizations are in need of extra help — and they may even have some incentives.

We’re rounding up a list of seasonal job opportunities that are open around Indy.

🏬 Simon Property Group

Of course, we know the holiday season means more foot traffic at the mall. That’s why Simon is looking to hire more Hoosiers at three Indianapolis-area malls. ✈️ TSA at Indianapolis International Airport

With travel back in full swing, TSA is looking to hire security officers at IND. The role of Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) is to “provide security and protection of air travelers, airports, and aircraft in a courteous and professional manner.” TSA is offering a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 to eligible new hires that onboard through Sept. 30, 2023. Want to be a part of the holiday magic? Carmel Christkindlmarkt is looking for folks with holiday cheer to help with daily operations at the market from Saturday, Nov. 19-Friday, Dec. 30. ❄️ INDOT

The Indiana Department of Transportation is looking for individuals who want to serve fellow Hoosiers this winter. Job duties include general highway maintenance, traffic maintenance, and snow + ice removal. Winter seasonal positions run between now and April 1, 2023. Pay starts at $20 per hour for full-time operations and $24 per hour for snowplow-only operations (must have a valid CDL). Browse available positions.

  • INDOT announced that the North Split project is running behind schedule due to material + labor shortages affecting the construction industry. The entire I-65/I-70 interchange was originally planned to open to traffic by the end of 2022, but INDOT says it will open segments as they’re completed. 🚧 (IndyStar)
Community
  • Indy Parks is asking the community to join it in reviewing Ellenberger Park (5301 E. St. Clair St.) on Monday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. The organization is evaluating upcoming projects and DigIndy’s restoration process + it wants the neighborhood’s ideas and feedback on the project and amenities for the field space. 🌳

We’re just five days away from Election Day 2022.

We’re here to help you make your voice heard this election season.
  • The polls will be open on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. As long as you’re in line by 6 p.m., you will be permitted to vote.
  • To find the polling location nearest you, visit the Indiana Voter portal + click on “Voting Location.”
  • You can see a sample of what your ballot will look like + who will be on it online. Click on “Who’s on the Ballot.”
  • Don’t forget to bring an acceptable form of ID with you to the polls.
Want to immerse yourself in the history of Election Day? The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site (1230 N. Delaware St.) is an official polling location in Marion County.

From 10 a.m.-3 p.m., the site will be hosting a live Election Day event where you can get a glimpse of the Harrison family as they eagerly await results from the 1888 presidential election. Get tickets.
