Editor’s pick: A couple of years ago, I volunteered with Exodus Refugee Immigration as a teen mentor, and let me tell you, it was a truly wonderful experience. Not only did I get to make a new friend (hi, Nuam!), but I got to see the city in a whole new light as I introduced her to all the resources and fun activities at her fingertips. I’d highly recommend the opportunity to anyone who wants to learn just as much as they want to teach.
