Coming Soon
  • After nearly 60 years in business, The Donut Shop on the north side will soon be replaced by chicken wings and tenders. Fast-casual Wing Zone will be opening its first Indiana location in the spot at 5527 N. Keystone Ave. by the end of the summer. (IBJ)
Open
  • Angelo’s Italian Market has officially opened its doors. The family-owned Italian market specializing in fresh, handmade pasta and sauces is celebrating its grand opening today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 11649 Maple St., Ste. 95 in Fishers. Get there early — the first 25 guests will get a special surprise.
Number
  • $800,000 annually for 10 years. That’s the going rate to have the Fishers city-owned arena — where the Indy Fuel will play — named after you. For now, it’s being called the Fishers Event Center and the Indy Fuel is in charge of finding a corporate naming sponsor and buyers for 21 luxury suites. (IndyStar)
Outdoors

Real Estate
  • On Saturday, April 15, you could become the newest owner of one of Indiana’s largest estates. The 16,000-sqft home sits on ~15 acres of land along the Bischoff Reservoir between Cincinnati and Indianapolis. It has a private boat dock, greenhouse, wine cellar, theater room, and a barn with horse stables. Take a virtual tour. (WRTV)
Drink
  • An electric wine opener is one of those inexpensive kitchen gadgets that you don’t know how you lived without once you get one. We especially love this one for its sleek design and ergonomic grip. To upgrade your wine even further, this set includes an automatic wine aerator and reusable vacuum stopper.

From the editor
I’ve personally stayed at Indy Mod Pod and it’s perfect for an overnight stay near downtown. It’s in walking distance of West Fork Whiskey’s tasting room and near 16th Street staples like Festiva, Provider, and Tinker Street.
