Clean up your neighborhood
A number of Indy areas are doing cleanups throughout the week, including:

Want to go on your own time? During the rest of April, guests are encouraged to help clean their favorite Indy Parks location. You can visit any of the family centers to grab trash bags and gloves (kindly donated by Keep Indianapolis Beautiful) to help clean up.
Pro tip: Don’t forget to register + bring supplies if needed.
Celebrate with the kids
The Indianapolis Zoo + The Children’s Museum are hosting special activities for the kiddos to take part in. From planting an eggshell herb garden to learning about action opportunities from local experts, there will be plenty of ways to get the kids in your life engaged.
Get planty
Celebrate Earth Day by breathing new life into your beloved plants at The Botanical Bar’s repotting event. Staff at the shop will be on hand to guide you through the repotting process with ease. Your ticket will ensure that you’ll have a spot reserved to repot up to four of your plants in containers 6 inches in diameter or under.
Hit a festival at Garfield Park
We’re giving you plenty of time to plan ahead with this event. The Earth Day Indiana Festival will take place on Saturday, June 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 110 exhibitors, food trucks, and live music.

📝 A Pyramids progress report
Update: the Pyramids renovation is making progress

Almost exactly one year ago, we let you know that the 50-year-old Pyramids had been acquired by a Speedway-based firm for an upgrade. Now, we’re filling you in on the renovation’s progress.
So far, fitness + conference centers, walking trails, and new trees have revitalized the local office park, which houses Hondros College of Nursing, Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center, and several other businesses. Additional organizations are set to occupy the building as improvements continue.
In the coming months, the renovation will move forward with redesigning entrances, adding outdoor seating, updating elevators, and changing up the landscape. Don’t worry — no major exterior improvements will be made to affect the aesthetic of the exterior.

The Suds is definitely on my list of places to visit this spring, along with several other local diners + drive-ins. If you want to add a few to your own bucket list, check out our roundup — complete with a map, an update on The Sanitary Diner, and a explanation of the term “lunch car.”
