🏎️ BINGO: Indy 500 edition

BINGO: Indy 500 edition

Indy 500 BINGO sheet graphic
Print this off for the month of May. | Graphic by INDYtoday team
Ladies + gentlemen, start your engines. It’s officially May, AKA Indy’s month to shine.

Whether you’ve been going to the Indianapolis 500 since you were a kid, this is your first year, or you still can’t quite find the time in your schedule, we’ve created a BINGO card that has a little bit of fun for every kind of race fan.

Here’s how it works:
  • Grab the BINGO card here. We recommend printing it out, but you can also mark things out digitally.
  • Start celebrating by completing the tasks in each box. Pro tip: pick the row that revs your engine the most + complete it first.
  • Take pictures. We could operate on the honor system, but then we couldn’t see what you ordered at Charlie Brown’s or which celebrity you spotted at the speedway.
  • Once you’ve completed a row, gather your photos + send them, along with your BINGO card, to our inbox.
  • That’s all, folks. We’ll let you know who’s in the Winner’s Circle (get it?) in June.
Aside from the satisfaction of a May well done, we have another incentive to drive your participation — those who get a BINGO + have the pics to prove it will enter a drawing for a $50 gift card to our Six & Main shop. We’re eyeing this baseball cap for a little added sun protection and city spirit this summer.

Indy’s inaugural children’s business fair is set for May

Let’s get down to business, kiddos.

The inaugural Indianapolis Children’s Business Fair is set for Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the College Park Ministry Center (3600 W. 96th St.). What does a children’s business fair entail? Don’t worry, the kids won’t be recruited by any Fortune 500 companies — they’ll actually be running the show.

About 75 young entrepreneurs will display their unique businesses. Members of the community will get to see how the kids have put together marketing strategies + created their products. At the end, a $50 cash prize will be given to multiple age groups for “Most Business Potential,” “Most Creative Idea,” and “Most Impressive Presentation.”

Children from the Greater Indianapolis area are invited to register until Saturday, May 13.

From the editor
Listen, I know the “Andy Griffith Show” technically took place in North Carolina, but it actually makes sense to film in Indiana, considering it’s home to the family favorite Mayberry Cafe. I might be biased because I spent several of my teen years working there, but I’m pleased to see they’re picking up where the “Mayberry Man” movie left off with this new series. Catch up on the details.
