The Monon Trail now spans from downtown Indianapolis to Sheridan. It offers a smooth ride, shaded paths, and plenty of options to stop for a bite along the way — especially when you reach mile 6.2 (aka the gateway to Broad Ripple).
Half Liter BBQ is a perfect stop along the Monon Trail to grab a bite and hang out.
The Cultural Trail is your path to city exploration — connecting downtown to several hot spots including Mass Avenue, Fountain Square, and White River State Park. The trail is also undergoing an expansion on South Street, Indiana Avenue, and to the White River on the near west side.
This trail is planned to one day stretch more than 60 miles. But for now, the trail exists in two segments — from Michigan Street to Speedway with a pedestrian/bicyclist bridge over Eagle Creek + 6.25 miles of tree-lined routes to Brownsburg. Just last week, the trail celebrated the opening of a new 1.9-mile section.
This path that follows Central Canal is made of crushed limestone that extends from Broad Ripple to 30th Street. You’ll pass through Butler University’ campus + intersect with Newfields’ 100 Acres.
This is the perfect place for mountain bikers across 96th Street on Indy’s north side — situated on 127 acres of parkland with seven miles of single-track dirt trails that offer a variety of terrain for mountain bikers.
