Local businesses with punch cards and rewards programs

Every little bit counts when it comes to saving money.
We know you love to support local like we do, and if you have a go-to coffee stop or favorite local business to frequent — you’ve probably collected some punch cards or points.
We’re rounding up a few local businesses that give you a discount for your continued support.
Mansion Society, 202 Steeples Blvd. | Every time you stop in for a coffee and/or pastry, you get a punch on the card. Once you fill up the card with 10, your next item is free.
MOTW Coffee & Pastries, multiple locations | Buy nine drinks, and you get the 10th for free. This shop has locations in Indianapolis, Fishers, Castleton, and Carmel — so don’t forget your punch card when you’re hopping around town.
Please & Thank You, 849 Mass Ave. | Purchase a dozen drinks and get one free. Every hot or iced drink purchase earns you a stamp. City Editor Nicole’s hot drink order is the Ganache Latte and her cold drink order is the Laura Palmer.
Even though the punch card is for drinks, you can’t go to Please & Thank You without getting a cookie.

Xing Fu Tang, 8555 River Rd., Ste. 150 | Get one stamp per visit and enjoy a free Brown Sugar Boba Tea after 10 stamps. This is one of City Editor Nicole’s favorite places to grab a bubble tea, so she’s filled up a stamp card once or twice.
Twenty Two Juice, City Market + The Garage Food Hall | Through Square’s payment system, you can earn points for every visit and get discounts. City Editor Nicole has earned discounts on some of the many açaí bowls she’s purchased here.
Pro tip: Any local business that uses Square usually has a customer loyalty program built in with that payment system. When you go to pay, if it asks you if you want to earn points, make sure to opt in.
Do you take part in another local loyalty program that we didn’t mention? Let us know so we can add it to the list.

One of the nation’s biggest cycling events for racers, spectators, and casual riders is hitting the streets of downtown Indy Friday, Aug. 25-Saturday, Aug. 26.
A weekend of high-level racing, a community ride, and family activities kicks off Friday at 3 p.m. with the Mass Ave Crit, which includes two corners greater than 90 degrees, making it technically difficult + fun to watch.
Then on Saturday starting at 8 a.m., the Honor Major Taylor Fondo — a ride for everyone — includes courses that are 14, 30, and 62 miles, plus a five-mile family ride on the Cultural Trail starting at 10 a.m. Register online to join the ride.
Take part in the Indy Crit or Kids Race, plus cycling and fitness activities, food trucks, and drinks for all ages. On Saturday at 3 p.m., kids ages 3-12 can participate in the Kids Race. Register.
I’ve been to Xing Fu Tang so many times that the owner knows me by name now. Talk about customer loyalty. A couple drinks on my rotation are the Sea Breeze and the brown sugar milk with Dalgona coffee.
