Small Business Saturday is coming up on Nov. 25. What started as an American Express campaign in 2010 to inspire consumers to shop locally has become an annual holiday that’s celebrated nationally.
We asked you to tell us which local small businesses you love shopping with + any deals you’re excited for, and (as usual) you didn’t disappoint. Plus, we included some of the local deals and shops we love.

Travel
Driving for the December holidays? Good news: Indiana’s sales tax on gasoline will drop to 18.6 cents per gallon starting Friday, Dec. 1. That’s almost five cents less than this time last year. (WISH)
Outdoors
Looking for a way to get moving today? We’ve got a guide to eight local hikes that will work up any appetite. All skill levels welcome.
Eat
Turkey or pork tenderloin? According to Slate, pork tenderloin would be Indiana’s official meat, especially breaded and deep-fried. Makes sense to us — Indy is home to multiple stops on the Tenderloin Lovers Trail, after all.
Happy Thanksgiving

Did you know we’ve sent a total of over 5,095 newsletters to readers in 26 cities so far this year?
Each of our news products is manned by two local City Editors and supported by the work of branded content writers, account managers, sales representatives, creative and growth marketing team members, editorial and executive leadership, our kickass operations team — and you, our readers and advertisers across the country.
If you’re sitting around the table today sharing what you’re thankful for, we’re doing the same.
Happy Thanksgiving y’all. I’ll be taking a moment to myself today to write down 10 (or more) things I’m truly grateful for, something I’ve done since high school. I find it gives me a huge boost to get through the rest of the year and helps me recognize so many daily things that usually go unnoticed. If you do the same and wanna share, drop me a line.
