A multi-day art fair celebrating 30+ Black artists over NBA All-Star Weekend? You can believe it’s BUTTER.
BUTTER at Indy’s Home Court takes place at the Indianapolis Artsgarden from Thursday, Feb. 15 to Sunday, Feb. 18. The event will feature Black visual artists across multiple mediums, from paint to textiles to glass to metal. Tickets are free, just remember to RSVP.

Andrea Fear builds abstract sculptures from aluminum window screen and colorful paint, creating dynamic works that have been seen in exhibits around the world.
Ashley Nora brings dreams to life through her abstract portraiture, and strives to create public artworks that impact every member of the communities they’re in.
King Saladeen’s iconic “Money Bear” has been seen everywhere from the NYSE to the São Paolo Museum of Art, and he’s worked with brands from Listerine to Lamborghini.
Will Watson is a Future Fair-minted painter, muralist, and advocate whose work demonstrates a commitment to the arts, and whose community engagement seeks to elevate young artists.
BUTTER
Founded by Malina Simone Bacon and Alan Bacon + organized by GANGGANG, BUTTER is an annual art fair and advocate for Black artists. By returning 100% of artwork sales to artists, it’s raised $710,000 for artists in Indy since 2021.

Legendary rapper and singer T-Pain will perform with DJ Zedd at the NBA Crossover Concert Series on Friday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. Tickets start at $50. (WTHR)
Closing
With the closure of a printing plant on Georgetown Road, the IndyStar will no longer be printed in Indianapolis. Instead, production will shift to parent company Gannett’s production facility in Peoria, Illinois. (IBJ)
Cause
The NBA announced two beneficiaries of Sunday’s All-Star Game: the Western Conference team will represent the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis, and the Eastern Conference team will play for Special Olympics Indiana. Each cause will receive $100,000 — with $240,000 for the winning team’s charity. (IBJ)
