A multi-day art fair celebrating 30+ Black artists over NBA All-Star Weekend? You can believe it’s BUTTER.

BUTTER at Indy’s Home Court takes place at the Indianapolis Artsgarden from Thursday, Feb. 15 to Sunday, Feb. 18. The event will feature Black visual artists across multiple mediums, from paint to textiles to glass to metal. Tickets are free, just remember to RSVP.
What kind of work will you find at BUTTER at Indy’s Home Court? Easy: you’ll find pieces you love. For a taste of the artwork on display, check out some of the event’s featured artists:
  • Andrea Fear builds abstract sculptures from aluminum window screen and colorful paint, creating dynamic works that have been seen in exhibits around the world.
  • Ashley Nora brings dreams to life through her abstract portraiture, and strives to create public artworks that impact every member of the communities they’re in.
  • King Saladeen’s iconic “Money Bear” has been seen everywhere from the NYSE to the São Paolo Museum of Art, and he’s worked with brands from Listerine to Lamborghini.
  • Will Watson is a Future Fair-minted painter, muralist, and advocate whose work demonstrates a commitment to the arts, and whose community engagement seeks to elevate young artists.
Two people pass a yellow wall. On the wall are three paintings: an abstract fuchsia object on a green canvas, a person wearing goggles with a spherical texture over their forehead, and a blue canvas whose subject is out of frame.
