We’re just 12 days away from the NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis. And by now, you know it’s going to be a pretty big deal with All-Star signs all around the city.
There are plenty of events for fans to get in on the action.
To help you make the most of the experiences on our home court, here’s the schedule of events.
Thursday, Feb. 15
NBA All-Star Tip-Off | 6 p.m. | Bicentennial Unity Plaza | Free | Fever legend Tamika Catchings and Indy native + comedian and actor Mike Epps will emcee this first-of-its-kind, high-energy 45-minute celebration with a musical performance by a surprise artist, appearances by NBA and Pacers legends, a fireworks display, and more. Space is limited and only 5,000 tickets will be issued.
Friday, Feb. 16
NBA Crossover – Day 1 | 3-9 p.m. | Indiana Convention Center | $35+ | An interactive fan event featuring player appearances, live performances, and activities.
NBA Rising Stars | 9 p.m. | Gainbridge Fieldhouse | $76+ | First- and second-year players, along with G League standouts, will compete in this exciting game.
Courtside Concert | 9 p.m. | Indiana Convention Center | $75-$125 | Catch the first courtside concert featuring T-Pain and DJ Zedd.
Saturday, Feb. 17
NBA All-Star Practice | 11 a.m. | Gainbridge Fieldhouse | $164 | Fans can see the 2024 NBA All-Stars practicing on the court as coaches and players meet with the media.
NBA Crossover – Day 2 | 12-6 p.m. | Indiana Convention Center | $35+ | An interactive fan event featuring player appearances, live performances, and activities.
HBCU Classic | 2 p.m. | Gainbridge Fieldhouse | $20 | See the best of HBCU as Winston-Salem State takes on Virginia Union on the All-Star stage, plus marching band performances.
40+ Bouldering Club | Tuesday, Feb. 6 | 6-11 p.m. | North Mass Boulder, 1411 Roosevelt Ave., Indianapolis | $10+ | Come climb once a month with fellow 40+ year old climbers + after your sesh head upstairs to grab a post-climb beer for $2 off.

NBA x Sneaker Hambone’s Trivia | Wednesday, Feb. 7 | 6 p.m. | The Vogue Theatre, 6259 N. College Ave., Indianapolis | $15 | Grab a team or come alone for a night full of basketball and sneaker-themed trivia ahead of the NBA All-Star Game.
Thursday, Feb. 8

Michigan St., Indianapolis | Free | Join a series of classes for those who are eligible to apply for citizenship — including mentorship, lessons, exam practice, mock interviews, and a certificate of completion.

Family Day: For the LOVE of Art | Saturday, Feb. 10 | 10 a.m.-3 p.m. | Newfields, 4000 N. Michigan Rd., Indianapolis | Museum admission | Recreate Robert Indiana’s iconic LOVE, take a heartfelt gallery tour, contribute to a community project, send a letter of appreciation, and participate in a poetry workshop.
Lil Wayne has been added to the lineup of artists set to perform during the NBA All-Star Weekend. The rapper will perform on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 3 p.m. as part of the NBA Crossover, which is a three-day event held at the Indiana Convention Center. Get tickets. (WTHR)
Announced
The World Food Championships — a competitive event featuring 1,500 home cooks, professional chefs, and barbecue teams — will be coming to Indianapolis for the first time. The culinary showdown is scheduled for Nov. 8-12 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. (IBJ)
Open
Slim Chickens, known for its fresh chicken tenders and wings with a southern twist, opened a new location at 100 E. Spring Mill Pointe Dr. in Westfield. This is the third out of five new locations expected in central Indiana. (WISH)
Coming Soon
Fast-growing jewelry brand gorjana is opening its first Indiana location at the Fashion Mall at Keystone in June. The 1,375-sqft store will offer the brand’s popular designs, including gold and silver jewelry featuring diamonds, opals, sapphires, and more.
Closing
Furniture and mattress store The RoomPlace announced it will be closing six locations in Indianapolis as part of a restructuring plan. There’s no set date on closing sales. (WRTV)
