The latest scoop on Broad Ripple’s ice cream paradise

If your idea of a nice treat is an ice treat, you’re in luck. Local ice cream shops are making moves to give everyone a taste of the sweet life — particularly in Broad Ripple. Here’s the scoop on the most recent developments:
Canal Creamery just opened last weekend. A sister shop to Canal Bistro, the preciously pink store is serving up scoops of traditional flavors like cookie dough as well as shakes, floats, and sundaes. Its website hints that boozy shakes may be added to the menu soon.
Meanwhile, just down the street, Brics is taking a brief hiatus from Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 15. It plans to complete renovations to maintain the small shop’s charm.
Nicey Treat fans, take note: the Nicey Pop Shop in Broad Ripple will be moving across the street from Flatwater Restaurant. We’ll let you know when we hear of a reopening date — in the meantime, the shop is also hiring.
