Indy Pride is back, and there’s no better time to celebrate and commemorate the LGBTQ+ community. From festivals to fundraisers and beyond, we’ve compiled a list of all the events you won’t want to miss.
🌈 Parade and festival
This year’s Pride Parade will fill the streets with color, music, dancing, and giveaways from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 8. Plan ahead: Sections of Mass Ave and Delaware Street will be closed for the parade, and parking garages in the area are scarce. Wear comfortable footwear and be prepared to put the bass in your walk.
In past years, the Indy Pride Parade has featured over 150 floats.

The Pride Festival will follow directly after the parade, rocking Military Park (601 W. New York St.) from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. It’s about a mile to a mile and a half between locations, so you can either walk or brave the traffic to get closer to the festival. In contrast to the parade, the festival grounds are surrounded by parking lots + garages, but expect to pay upwards of $25 for parking.
The festival grounds will be packed with everything you need to party all day long, including a food court, free hydration stations, bars, vendors, DJs, and an all-star entertainment lineup. View the performance schedule.

Welcome to Curb Appeal, our new seasonal callout for the best home displays. For this first go-around, we want to see your best spring and summer set-ups:
Do you have the best barbecue on the block?
Is the entire neighborhood stopping by your house for a swim?
Are you a home gardener fully in your spring planting era?
Do you spend your summer nights on the perfect porch?
Is your fire pit the envy of your street?
We’ll share our favorite submissions in a future newsletter to help Hoosiers get design inspiration to take their own homes and gardens to the next level.
Speaking of backyards, I’ll go first. Our garden is in major need of weeding this weekend, but here’s my favorite part — a vintage Coca-Cola cooler I planted two strawberry plants in.
