Celebrate the summer — and the return of Happy Hour — by enjoying a meal on the patio of your favorite restaurant. | Photo by Dave Pluimer
Happier days are ahead. Gov. Holcomb signed House Bill 1086 into law, repealing the 40-year-old ban on discount drinks during specified hours.
Beginning Monday, July 1, Happy Hour will be legal in Indiana. The new law will also allow restaurants to sell in-house cocktails to-go. But there’s a catch: Happy Hour can’t run for more than four hours a day or 15 hours a week, and not after 10 p.m.
Restaurants and bars around Indy are definitely happy about the return of Happy Hour — and they’re not wasting any time announcing new specials.
The Oakmont | Monday-Friday | 3-6 p.m. | $1 off all drafts, $7 Prosecco, and new cocktails + food specials
Vicino | Monday-Friday | 3-6 p.m. | $8 Prosecco and Prosecco Rosé, $9 wine, and new Happy Hour only cocktails + food
The HC Tavern + Kitchen | Monday-Thursday | 2-5 p.m. | $3 oysters, $5 off select appetizers, $5 off all wines by the glass, $3 off all draft beers, and more
A Prime membership — because Amazon Prime Day is coming Tuesday, July 16 + Wednesday, July 17. You need a membership to be eligible for the sale prices (which are usually pretty great).
From the editor I’ll be completely honest, I’m not the biggest football fan... but I attended a Colts training camp session last year, and it was so fun. It’s a great activity for the whole family and tickets are free for seven of the 12 practice dates, and just $5 for people 18+ for the other five practices.
