A couple of weeks ago, we asked: Which Indy restaurant do you miss the most + which meal do you wish were still around?

Piece of cake, right? INDYtoday readers sent us food for thought — let’s stroll down memory lane, because we love a moment of local nostalgia.

Sinking Ship

“The dicey hockey bar with a full vegan menu made it special,” Reader Karen B. said. Jen G. and Karley C. both agreed this was another beloved vegan spot gone. “Awesome vegan food, also food for meat lovers, and craft beers.”

Boogie Burger

“It was an awesome burger joint in the Broad Ripple area. Their garlic parsley fries were soooo good and I really miss their shroom burger,” said Reader Alex L.

“Delicious burgers and chicken sandwiches in Broad Ripple. They also had great milkshakes and amazing fries!” said Reader Rob B.

Three Carrots

Readers Jill H., Jen G., and Jacquie V. miss having a totally vegan restaurant and think Indy needs that back.

ShoeFly

“How could you not say ShoeFly Public House. I miss that place so much!” Reader Mary M. said. “They had an amazing menu and desserts!”

Acapulco Joe’s

Several of you said Acapulco Joe’s. “The food was the best Mexican in the area and I went there for lunch once or twice a week,” Reader Tom O. said.

“Best chimi, no question, and the sauces (taco and salad dressing) were so spectacular that they are now commercially available,” Reader Steve W. said.

Brugge Brasserie

“Duck and sweet onion confit crepe with the best fries in town,” Andy S. said.

Ground Round

“Always good basic solid foods and fun place to relax,” Reader Keith R. said.

Black Market

“Great restaurant that had delicious dishes meant for a quick and light lunch,” said Reader Mark L.

It’s impossible to mention them all — so to reminisce some more and know that you’re not alone, see the comments on our Instagram post or article.
