Whether you’re a seasoned pro or lacing up for the first time, Hoosiers of all ages will love gliding across the ice in the heart of the Carmel Christkindlmarkt. Bonus: Skate rentals are available for $4 per person.
Ticket prices are just $10 for both adults and youth 11 and older, and $8 for kids 10 and under. Pro tip: Want to skip the lines? Snag tickets in advance.
Note: The rink will be open for limited hours on Tuesday, Dec. 24 (11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and will be closed on Christmas Day.

Butler University announced a renovation and expansion plan that will add a new venue for concerts, conferences, and special events. The Allen Whitehill Clowes Ballroom, an 11,000-sqft venue on the east side of Clowes Hall, will cost $9 million and is expected to open in 2027. (IBJ)
Opening
This is a big dill. Indiana’s first The Picklr location is opening this Saturday, Dec. 21 with all day free open play from 12 to 5 p.m. The 30,000-sqft club at 3810 E. 82nd St. features 10 indoor courts, a pro shop, and private event space.
Travel
Pack your bags. Another nonstop flight has been added to IND. Southwest Airlines announced that it’s bringing back its Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) nonstop flight out of Indy starting Aug. 5, 2025. The flight takes off twice daily, year-round. (WTHR)

The Fever announced their 2025 preseason schedule, which will consist of two preseason games ahead of their 40-game regular season. The Fever will host the Washington Mystics on Saturday, May 3 at 3 p.m., then head to Atlanta to play the Dream on Saturday, May 10 at 3 p.m. Get tickets. (WTHR)
