City Editor Shea here. I’m not a big soda drinker (or pop drinker, as I’ve been corrected many times here in the Midwest), but when the weather warms up, I start craving something sweet + fizzy. My go-to? A bottle of locally-brewed kombucha.
Here are a few brewers + bottles around central Indiana that I’ve fallen in love with.
Crossroads Kombucha
This brewery adds premium fruits, herbs, and florals from Indiana producers to its proprietary blend to keep each bottle 100% local. As a lover of all autumn flavors, I’m obsessed with the crisp, subtly spiced fall apple offering.
Primal Delights also sells other fermented food products, including sauerkraut and kimchi.

Your best shot at nabbing a taste of this brewer’s booch? Head to the Broad Ripple Farmers Market any Saturday. In addition to grabbing a bottle of black mulberry + lavender kombucha, make sure you grab a jar of zesty lemon pepper kraut or sea moss pink lemonade. You can thank me later.
