Temperatures are warming up in the Midwest — making it the perfect time to prepare your home for the upcoming summer heat.
Here are four expert tips from Peterman Brothers to keep your home comfortable and systems running smoothly:
Schedule a spring HVAC tune-up | Ensure your air conditioning is ready for warmer temperatures, improve efficiency, and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Conduct an electrical safety check | Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, inspect outlets for loose connections, and ensure GFCI outlets function properly.
Inspect outdoor faucets | Repair or replace hoses and spigots as needed to prevent issues as temperatures rise.
A/C unit maintenance | Adjust your home’s temperature settings, clear airflow obstructions, and consider a dehumidifier to boost cooling efficiency.

Let me just mourn one of my favorite outdoor patios for a sec (since my top favorites are in this newsletter). Public Greens in Broad Ripple was an outdoor patio that I frequented because I loved its location along the Monon Trail and I could just walk up to the patio with my dog and order from the window. RIP, Public Greens.
