If you’re a golf buff, we know a bit of summer heat isn’t going to keep you off the greens. So here are three of our picks for summer golfing:
For a quick round — go for Buffer Park Golf Course. You can normally play nine holes in under two hours. That means if you grab an early tee time, you can be off the course before it gets too hot.
For indoor practice — try Coffin Golf Course. The indoor simulators are a great way to work on your swing without the sweat.
For shade and water — Pleasant Run Golf Course is well-known for its tree-lined fairways and creek running through it.

Pacaso plans to expand to Italy. | Photo provided by Pacaso
How do you follow a record-setting year? By getting stronger.
Take Pacaso. Their real estate co-ownership tech set records in Paris and London in 2024. No surprise. Coldwell Banker says 40% of wealthy Americans plan to buy abroad within a year, so Pacaso’s planned Italy expansion is big.
They’ve already made $110 million+ in gross profits to date, including 41% YoY growth last year. (They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.) And you can invest for $2.90/share. †‡
The typical Indiana license plate is nice — but it could be sleeker. Enter the Indiana BMV’s new “blackout” plates, offering an option for those with a more minimalistic aesthetic. You can get yours for $45+ as early as Friday, Aug. 8. (WTHR)
Development
We are one step closer to bringing Major League Soccer to Indy. In case you missed it, a stadium is slated for the former Indianapolis Heliport location. The board is now taking construction proposals and plans to settle on a contract by mid-October. (WTHR)
Community
Should the Martindale neighborhood become a national historic site? Learn more about how to make that happen by attending the community meeting tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Frederick Douglass Family Center. RSVP online. (WISHTV)
Kids
If you’re a parent or caregiver and could use a night out, Belmont Beach might be the place. On Friday, July 25, starting at 7 p.m. there will be activities to keep the kids busy while you chill with friends and neighbors — plus free food and live music.

Video killed the tabletop star. Yesterday, our headline referred to Gen Con as a video game con — it’s actually a tabletop gaming convention. You can call us a fake nerd now.

All this license plate talk got me deep into all the different plate options. Does anyone remember the “Wander Indiana” plates from the 1980s? I kind of love it.
The “Wander Indiana” license plate was introduced before the era of specialty plates.
I’m curious if any of our readers have a specialty plate. Let me know if your car is rocking something cool.
