Here’s a bonus Halloween activity for you, courtesy of reader Charlotte R.:
“My great-great grandfather Shepler Frye built a brick farmhouse in 1851. In 1878, his eight-year-old daughter Ida May was murdered in the basement by a field hand. Sightings of her have happened many times over the years and the house has a reputation for being haunted, with current and past owners witnessing ghostly phenomena. Every year, the house is decorated with ghosts and skeletons — it’s known as ‘The Halloween House’ and serves as a great drive-by for the holiday. You can find it at 7930 Frye Rd. in Flat Branch Estates.”
