Pancakes with strawberries and chicken and waffles
The INDYtoday team loves Morning’s Breakfast & Brunch. | Photo by INDYtoday team
It’s one of our favorite holidays of the year: National Chicken and Waffles Day. Celebrate accordingly by grabbing brunch at one of these local spots that serves the classic combo.

Canal Bistro | After you chow down on this spot’s classic chicken + waffles, pop next door for a scoop of something sweet from Canal Creamery.

Root & Bone | Our tastebuds are tingling for three pieces of this restaurant’s sweet tea-brined chicken, lemon dust, hot honey, buckwheat waffles, and bourbon maple syrup.

Lincoln Square Pancake House | You can’t go wrong with a chicken + blueberry butter waffle from this classic first-generation family business.

Mornings Breakfast & Brunch | Start your day with the Belgian Bird: Mini waffles and chicken strips topped with sausage gravy + jalapeno bacon syrup.
