Beloved local hip-hop trio 81355 (pronounced “bless”) is hitting the big stage at the South by Southwest Festival this year, in addition to performing a show here in Indy at the Old National Centre on Friday, March 10 and bringing back a popular music fest.
The musicians — Oreo Jones, Sirius Blvck, and Sedcairn Archives — have seen lots of success after landing a record deal with music label 37d03d, founded by members of Bon Iver and The National. They will be playing a number of performances at the Austin, TX festival, most likely including tracks from their new album “All That It Takes.”
Plus, we got a scoop that Indy’s biggest hip-hop festival created by Oreo Jones, Chreece, is coming back after a three-year hiatus on Saturday, August 26. In the past, the festival has featured 60+ local musicians and bigger acts during an all-day event at multiple Fountain Square venues.
