Don’t be afraid. Concerns about everything from flood damage to environmental health can be solved by getting in touch not with the Ghostbusters, but with these Indy resources.

If you’re driving on West Washington Street, there are potholes everywhere — but at least this one has a traffic cone to warn you.

We ain’t afraid of no ghost — but we are scared of sewage backup, power outages, and potholes. We rounded up a few resources to answer the age-old question posed by “Ghostbusters": Who ya gonna call?

If there’s something strange...

Drainage issues | For water or sewage backup, or other drainage problems, call Citizen’s Energy Group at 317-924-3311.

Animal collection | Call 317-327-4622 to have the city pick up a dead animal on any Marion County public street.

...in your neighborhood

Barking dogs | If it isn’t a mischievous spirit keeping you up at night, but your neighbor’s pooch instead, call 317-327-4622 or submit a request online.

Potholes | Stop swerving and submit an online street repair request instead.

If there’s something weird...

Environmental health problems | Call the Marion County Public Health Department at 317-221-2000 for a wide swathe of issues such as rodent or mosquito control, public swimming pool concerns, and hazardous indoor air quality. You can also submit a complaint form online.

Freon trash pickup | Freon is even more toxic than ectoplasm. To schedule pickup of household items that contain freon, like refrigerators, freezers, and AC units, make a request online.

....and it don’t look good

Tree concerns | Citizens are responsible for trees on their own property, but the city will take care of issues regarding trees on public land. For fallen trees, broken limbs, and the like, submit a request here.

Power issues | For streetlight outages and downed power lines, call Indianapolis Power and Light at 317-261-8111. You can also use the AES Indiana online outage form.

Have a spooky situation not covered above? Browse other service request forms, for everything from abandoned vehicles to unsafe buildings.
