Finding an open coffee shop around Indy late in the day might seem like a tall order, but we’ve rounded up eight spots to get that evening pick-me-up.
Strictly coffee
Amelia’s Bread
, Windsor Park
Not just a place to grab focaccia and croissants, the Amelia’s next to Kan-Kan Cinema & Brasserie
also offers cups of coffee from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Pro tip: We recommend trying the mocha.
Command Coffee
, 2910 N. College Ave.
During weekdays, the coffee shop (which also has a drive-thru if you’re in a rush) is open from 4:30 a.m.-7 p.m., and on weekends it’s open an extra half-hour later.
Bovaconti
, 1042 Virginia Ave.
Open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. seven days a week, this Fountain Fletcher District staple is conveniently located on a strip full of shopping spots, so when you’re done with your work you can do some retail therapy.
MOTW
, Indianapolis, Castleton, Fishers
On the weekend, MOTW stays open until midnight, making it the perfect place for a relaxed first date or getting a constant source of caffeine while you’re working on a deadline.
Coffee and cocktails
Commissary
, 304 E. New York St.
By day, this coffee and barber shop goes by Commissary, but by night, it transitions into a place to sip hand-crafted cocktails called Blind Tiger
.
Parlor Public House
, 600 E. Ohio St.
No laptops after 7 p.m. at this hybrid drink concept. And though it stops serving its caffeinated beverages after 5 p.m., you can still soak in those coffee shop vibes with a Coffee Till Cocktails Tini Thursday-Saturday until midnight.
Provider
, 1101 E. 16th St.
We recommend one of Provider’s signature pistachio lattes at this Kennedy-King spot inside the historic Tinker House building. You can stay until 8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and enjoy an espresso martini to keep the caffeine buzz going.
Top Out Café
, 1411 Roosevelt Ave.
When you’re done climbing, head upstairs at North Mass Boulder
for a coffee or beer and a snack — the spot is open from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.
