Lunar New Year is upon us, and it’s the Year of the Fire Horse. Get ready to giddy up into a year of dynamic changes, new opportunities, personal growth, and a faster pace of life.

Here are a few events around town where you can celebrate this auspicious year, no matter your Zodiac sign.

Lunar New Year Celebration | Saturday, Feb. 14 | 12-4 p.m. | Indy’s Global Village | Free | Immerse yourself in traditions surrounding the New Year with live performances, exhibits, food, vendors, and more.

Lunar New Year Celebration: Year of the Fire Horse | Saturday, Feb. 21 | 6-9:30 p.m. | CAMi | $15 | Celebrate with traditional dance performances, fireworks, food, and activities like cut paper art, lantern + fan painting, and origami.

Lunar New Year Celebration | Monday, Feb. 23 | 4:30-6 p.m. | Carmel Clay Public Library | Free | Join the Carmel High School National Chinese Honor Society for Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, musical performances, and food.

Lunar New Year Festival | Saturday, March 7 | 12-4 p.m. | IPL Central Library | Free | Watch stage performances including a traditional Chinese-American style lion dance, Chinese orchestra music, and a Tai Chi exercise presentation, then visit cultural vendors for interactive activities.
