Watch the canal turn a vibrant shade of green while enjoying live music from The Indianapolis 500 Gordon Pipers and Sheep in the Boat Band. Pro tip: The event will also be live-streamed for folks at home.
Friday, March 13
St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Tent Party | 10 a.m.-3 p.m. | North Street between Meridian and Pennsylvania | Free, all ages
This parade is going on its 44th year and is just as grand as ever, showcasing huge balloons, marching bands, Irish dancers, and themed floats from Catholic schools, Irish organizations, local companies, and non-profits. Before or after the parade, head over to the heated tent for live entertainment, a beer garden, and local food trucks.
93rd St. Patrick’s Celebration | Times vary, Friday-Saturday and Tuesday | McGinleys’ Golden Ace Inn | $10, 21+
This iconic weekend-long festival kicks off on Friday under a huge heated tent outside Indy’s oldest Irish bar. Enjoy drinks, the bar’s famous cheeseburgers, and live music Friday and Saturday, then return on Tuesday for one final day of partying with bands straight from Ireland.
St. Patrick’s Day Three Day Music Festival | 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday-Sunday | King Jugg Brewing, Fishers | $29+, 21+ | Don your best greens for a day (or full weekend) of live music and cold craft beer flowing nonstop.
King Jugg’s 21+ party promises good brews and plenty of games, both on and off the TV screens.

33rd Annual Shamrock Run & Walk | 9:30 a.m. | 748 Mass Ave.
This four-mile event takes participants through historic neighborhoods and ends at the Bottleworks District, where there will be live music, a beer garden, and plenty of food options inside The Garage. Bonus: All participants can enter to win two round-trip tickets from IND to Dublin.
Shamrock Half Marathon | 10 a.m.-5 p.m. | Military Park | $90+, 21+
Sweat your way through a beautiful 13.1-mile course that finishes right into the Shamrock BrewFest, complete with a DJ, food truck, party tent, cornhole, and giant beer pong.
Paddy & Pedal Party | 12-4 p.m. | The Hangar | $45, 21+
Get some major bang for your buck (and a calf workout) with a ticket that includes four drinks, unlimited food, HandleBar rides, fun competitions, and a live DJ.
3rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party | 12-10 p.m. | SNUG | $10, all ages
Take to the streets of Irvington for drinks, local food, live music, flash tattoos, and more.
