Let’s do the Time Warp again — back to 1975, when “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” first hit theater screens. First derided by critics, the edgy film soon became a cult classic with legions of adoring fans, and is now the longest-running theatrical release in film history.

Newfields | Friday, Oct. 4 | This screening of the original film features a shadow cast performance by some of Indy’s favorite drag entertainers. Come in costume, but leave the props at home — tickets include an assembled prop kit that will be waiting for you at your seat.
Basile Theatre | Friday, Oct. 18-Saturday, Nov. 2 | This live musical stage production is back for its fifth year. It caters to newbies and veterans alike, with a screen displaying audience call-out prompts. While props are prohibited, costumes are encouraged.
Clowes Memorial Hall | Saturday, Oct. 19 | Join Patricia Quinn, the original Magenta, for a screening complete with a live shadow cast and costume contest.
Irving Theater | Saturday, Oct. 26 | This group has been performing live shadow casts across the Midwest for 10+ years. If you miss October’s performance, don’t worry — they return to the Irving monthly.
Flix Brewhouse | Saturday, Oct. 26 and Thursday, Oct. 31 | Prefer a more traditional movie theater experience? Watch the film with a meal and beer in hand. Noisemakers, newspapers, party hats, and rubber gloves will be allowed for these shows.
