If you haven’t explored the newest addition to Mass Ave. by now, we’ve bottled up everything you need to know — and check out — at the Bottleworks District.
But first, we have to share a little piece of history. The building that stands at the heart of the reimagined district dates back to the 1920s + was known as the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Indianapolis — hence the new name, “Bottleworks.”
Stay
At the heart of the Bottleworks District, is the Bottleworks Hotel. Perfect for a staycation, spend the weekend immersing yourself in the beautiful + distinctive architecture that you’ll find in every corner. Fun fact: The hotel was awarded one of the World’s Best New Hotels in 2021 by National Geographic.
Eat
Out on the town with friends or just can’t decide what to eat? The Garage Food Hall has something for everyone. Think of it as a food court-style eating experience — but with local restaurants. The Garage has a diverse menu from burgers and pizza to seafood, Mexican, Asian-fusion, Greek, and more.
Play
Let the good times roll. Pins Mechanical Co. is the perfect spot for a group outing with duckpin bowling, arcade games, and giant Jenga. Plus, enjoy some sips at the rooftop bar area.
Watch
Going to the movies was put on pause during the pandemic, but Living Room Theaters is pressing play. The new eight-screen theater embodies the feeling of a living room with comfortable reclining chairs + a space to meet, eat and relax.
Relax
Bottleworks provides a few different options to pamper yourself. You can get a mani-pedi at The W Nail Bar, a blowout by DryBar, a fresh cut at Brick & Mortar barbershop, or a massage at Woodhouse Day Spa.
No matter what brings you to the Bottleworks District, it’s sure to be an experience. Conde Nast Traveler even named the Indianapolis district among the “Best Places to Go in 2021.”
