Development

A groundbreaking ceremony was held in Fishers this week for a new three-story Arts and Municipal Complex (116th Street and Municipal Drive). The structure replacing Fishers’ sinking City Hall will cost $22.6 million and is scheduled to open at the end of 2024. It will have space for both city business and art. 🏗️ (IndyStar)

Traffic

While Broad Ripple is working on widening its sidewalks, they will be closed along Broad Ripple Avenue and pedestrians will be able to walk down the street’s center. Coffee addicts, this one’s for you. Indy will host its eighth Caffeine Crawl tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 3). Tickets are still available and you can choose between four different routes visiting 5-6 local coffee shops. Each stop will have a presentation and a sample of either coffee or tea. Learn more. ☕

Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do. We recommend staying warm inside at Jolly Days Winter Wonderland, hosted by the Children’s Museum now until Sunday, Jan. 1.

For its final year, the holiday event will feature the Yule Slide, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a New Year’s Eve countdown celebration included with the price of admission. For an additional cost, activities like gingerbread house building, breakfast with Santa, and a North Pole pajama party are also available on select days.

Can’t make it this year? No worries, the Children’s Museum (with the help of some techie elves 🧝) lets kids send in their holiday wish lists online.
