Happy New Year, Hoosiers. To start the year off on the right foot, we need a little help from you.
Every morning, more than 42,000 of you welcome us into your inbox. And each day, we do our very best to provide you with timely, relevant information so you can get the most out of the city we call home.
We’re asking you to take two minutes to tell us a little more about yourself because the more we know about who you are, the better we can deliver information that you care about. Just two minutes. Feel free to skip any questions you don’t want to answer. We don’t want to pry. (Okay, we do, but for a good reason.)

New year, new you — sort of. Making resolutions can feel pretty intimidating, so we like to start small. And why not localize our goals while we’re at it?
Here’s what City Editors Shea and Nicole are planning to take on around Indy in 2024:
Shea: “I’m planning on volunteering with Cats Haven this year. I love that the group is able to provide a cage-free home for cats, especially elderly ones who aren’t likely to be adopted. And then to treat myself, I’m going to try every single seasonal cake offering that The Cake Bake Shop cooks up this year — pray for me.”
Nicole: “In 2023, I volunteered at Gleaners Food Bank for the first time, so I want to do more volunteering like that this year. I’m going to start the year off with the NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service. I’m already registered to help pack meals on Thursday, Feb. 15. I’d say I’m already pretty good at supporting local whenever I can, but I want to make it a goal to drink only local coffee all year — no Starbucks or other chains.”
Happy New Year, Indy! As you’re reading this, I may already be a new mom — or hopefully super close to that status change. Nicole and co. will keep you entertained and informed as always, and I’ll be back in your inboxes at the end of February.
