News Notes

Weather

Less than a week after our big winter storm, more snow is expected to arrive today — but thankfully, not nearly as heavy. Meteorologists at WTHR are expecting 2-5 inches across the state impacting road conditions, especially during the evening commute. Get updates.

Development

The city unveiled its redevelopment plan for the western portion of the City Market campus. Phase 1 will include transforming the Gold Building into 20-story apartments + the West Plaza and the historic catacombs into a plaza with greenspace. Phase 1 is expected to wrap by the end of 2026. (WTHR)

Community

Smell that? Girl Scout Cookie season is upon us — and our local council, the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, are slinging shortbread around town. Find your nearest booth.

Number

$4.99. That’s the average price of a dozen eggs in Indy right now. If that sounds steep, it may be in part because national egg prices are up 71% year-over-year. Factor that into the local cost of living. (Axios)

Drink

Goodbye, peppermint mocha and hello, cortado. Starbucks added a new espresso option to its menu. But can it compete with Blue Mind Roasting’s craft coffee?

Sports

The Pacers dominated the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, and they had one key focus that carried them. Locked On host Tony East breaks it down, including Thomas Bryant’s incredible game + more from the Pacers fourth straight win.
