Don’t run out of juice on a long trip — plan ahead by bookmarking charging stations along your route. | Photo by CHUTTERSNAP
There are more than 3.5 million electric vehicles (EVs) on the road, with more projected to be sold every year. That means the demand for charging stations is growing as well.
According to a recent study, Indiana has 636 EV charging stations across the state with 1,810 charging ports.
The US Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center has an online map of EV charging stations. Select your location, charger type, or connector to see a list of public stations to fuel up. Pro tip: Use your zip code as your location for the most accurate results.
The map shows 51,000+ charging stations across the country, including 11 in downtown Indy.
