🌴 Vacation, all I ever wanted

Springbreakers, it’s almost your time to (sun)shine.

If you want to get away for a couple days, here’s why our fellow City Editors in San Diego, Seattle, and Fort Worth said you should come visit them.

San Diego, CA

One word: beaches.

After you’ve had your fill of sand (or gotten a decent sunburn), City Editor Michael’s must-dos include a walk through Balboa Park, eating Mexican food in Old Town, and rooting for The Padres at Petco Park. City Editor Monica suggests taking a hike at Torrey Pines or Sunset Cliffs, shopping in South Park, and grabbing a snack from Liberty Public Market.

Bainbridge’s new troll is named Pia the Peacekeeper.

Seattle, WA

Welcome to the Emerald City. Take a ferry over to Bainbridge Island, where bookstores and fish n’ chip shops await you. City Editor Alina also recommends traipsing around the Olympic Peninsula for mountain views, rainforest hiking, dramatic beach cliffs, and vampires, of course.

All that excitement will certainly leave you hungry. The Puget Sound is famous for its seafood: Make sure to grab oysters at James Beard Award-winning Walrus and the Carpenter.
