Baby, it’s cold outside. But thanks to the igloos popping up all across Indy, you can still enjoy al fresco dining without turning into an ice sculpture. Here are a few spots we found that were love at frost sight — just don’t forget your coat.
Enjoy French food while cozying up in a chalet with a view of the Christkindlmarkt. The chalets can fit up to six people, and you can even bring your own Bluetooth speaker to set the vibe.
Igloo rentals are back at Field Brewing’s outdoor dining space, with each structure comfortably seating up to eight guests. Your igloo comes with a heater, blankets, seat cushions, and carpeting so you can truly chill out.
Rumor has it that, if you dine in Urban Apples’ Grinch-themed igloo, your heart will grow three sizes that day.

How two hours can brighten a family’s holiday season
Presented by The Salvation Army of Central Indiana
Our team recently rang at a Red Kettle at a local Hobby Lobby. | Photo by INDYtoday
Two hours. That’s all it takes to make a meaningful impact in our community this holiday season.
Volunteer to ring a bell at a Red Kettle, and in just a couple of hours, you can feed a family of four for a week, help keep the lights on, or ensure a family can stay in their home.
Psst… parents, this is a great chance to show your little ones the value of giving.
Here’s how to get involved:
As an individual | Ring for a couple of hours and help a family in need.
As a group | Grab friends, coworkers, or a club and make it a fun, meaningful team effort.
As a virtual ringer | Encourage friends and family to donate online and support your local Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.
