Santa Claus is coming to town, and so are his furry antlered friends. But how would they spend their time in Indy?
Here’s a fun fact: Science suggests Santa’s reindeer are female, as males do not have their antlers at Christmas time. So let’s plan a girl’s night out while the big man does his whole chimney-climbing thing.
Dasher
Dasher probably misses her North Pole running club. Lucky for her, we’ve got several groups she can join for a frosty jog. Now dash away all.
Dancer + Prancer
You just know this pair would hit the town. A nighttime stroll down Mass Ave would give these dancing queens their share of options, like Metro and Tini.
Vixen
Vixen is all about self-care so she can feel her flirty best. Catch her getting her nails... err, hooves painted and her long eyelashes curled at a local salon.
Comet
We think Comet loves looking for her namesake in the night sky. Once the sun sets, she’s heading to one of these local stargazing hotspots.
The predictions were correct: Fernando Mendoza has won the Heisman Trophy, becoming the first Hoosier ever to win the award. Celebrate with Locked On.

Since this weekend’s significant snowfall, Indiana State Police have reported responding to 300+ crashes. Here’s a reminder of how to drive safely under adverse weather conditions. (WTHR)
Announced

Closing
Pour us a cup of woe. Neidhammer Coffee Co. announced that it’s closing its doors on Wednesday, Dec. 31. However, the owners hope to reopen in a new location in the future.
Pets
Know someone who has a new pet on their holiday wishlist? Indianapolis Animal Care Services is hosting a “Home for the Holidays” adoption event on Saturday, Dec. 20 to help clear the overcrowded shelter. Bonus: All adoption fees will be waived.

I’m wishing the happiest of birthdays to Azy, the Indianapolis Zoo’s male orangutan, who just turned 48 — making him one of the oldest in North America. Support the zoo to make sure Azy and other animals in its care still have many happy birthdays ahead of them.
