Wake up and smell the flour (and sugar). Girl Scout Cookie season is upon us — and our local council, the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, are slinging sweet treats around town.
The next time the Scouts are inventing new cookies, we’d love to see these Indy-inspired ideas come to life:
When people think of Indiana, they think of corn — and if Crumbl has taught us anything, it’s that corn belongs in cookies. We’d love to see the Scouts create a sweet corn sandwich cookie with a honey butter filling.
Next, we’d adapt sugar cream pie (Indiana’s unofficial pie) into a delicious cookie confection. Think buttery, flaky shortbread with a sugary custard glaze.
Our final invention is the most adventurous of all: A pork tenderloin cookie. Fear not, it won’t actually feature meat; two soft, vanilla-flavored buns with an oversized, brown sugar-coated sweet corn patty would be the perfect substitute.
Any other ideas for localized Girl Scout Cookies? Let us know.

Post of the Day
Did you travel Indy’s streets by snowmobile this weekend? | Photo by @chanduprem.arw
If you stayed indoors this weekend (like we did), check out Chandu Prem’s photos of snow scenes from across the city. To all the people pictured without gloves on — we have questions.
One of our favorite on-the-go essentials: deodorizing body wipes. We stash them in our car + purse because you never know when you’ll need a quick little refresh.
When surveying my yard to take snowy pics of my own, I was delighted by this little snow cone offering Mother Nature created for the birds. While I don’t think any feathered friends will be stopping by, it’s a good reminder to take care of our pets; dangerously cold temps will persist for the rest of the week.
Something tells us the birds won’t be using this birdbath any time soon.
