The Walker Building — the original headquarters and manufacturing plant of Walker’s beauty company — is now the Madam Walker Legacy Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Walker’s legacy by providing cultural education, promoting social justice, supporting entrepreneurship, and empowering youth.
