Today is Veterans Day, so we want to take a moment to thank all of our Hoosier veteran and military members out there who may be reading this. We appreciate you and thank you for your service.

There are several ways you can join in honoring service members in the Circle City.

  • The United States Naval Academy Glee Clubs will perform a Veterans Day Salute accompanied by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Hilbert Circle Theatre at 11 a.m. Get tickets.
  • For the first time in two years, the Indianapolis Veterans Day Parade is returning to downtown. The parade starts at noon beginning at the intersection of Michigan and Pennsylvania streets, with the route going around the Legion Mall and Indiana War Memorial. Pro tip: There will be no public parking on Michigan Street + there will be some street closures.
  • Downtown Indy is honoring Hoosier veterans during a special Veterans Day Shining A Light presentation on Monument Circle. The projection will play at 6:44 p.m., 8:14 p.m., and 10:14 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11-Sunday, Nov. 13.
