Independence Day falls on a Thursday this year — long weekend, anyone? — and there are lots of celebrations happening around Indy.

Here are a few ways to celebrate the red, white, and blue around the Circle City:

🎆 Where to see fireworks

Downtown Indy Fourth Fest | Thursday, July 4 | 6-10:30 p.m. | 500 N. Meridian St. | Free | Celebrate the second year of this Fourth of July event featuring food trucks, ice cream, and beverages + live music performances and fireworks synced to patriotic music. Pro tip: The best viewing spots are the Indiana War Memorial grounds + American Legion Mall. View the map.

July Fourth Celebration at Victory Field | Thursday, July 4 | 6:35 p.m. | Victory Field, 501 W. Maryland St. | $15-$21 | Celebrate the Fourth of July and wear red, white, and blue as the Indians wear patriotic jerseys and caps to take on the Bats, Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

4th of July at Belmont Beach | Thursday, July 4 | 8 p.m. | Belmont Beach, 1300 N. White River Pkwy Dr. W. | Free | Celebrate the holiday with a live DJ, hot dogs, and games, plus see the downtown fireworks from the historic west side beach.
