Fourth of July weekend in Indy starts right now, with events to celebrate America’s 246 years as an independent country. Those celebrations include parades, ceremonies, family-friendly festivals + summertime soirees.

Downtown Fireworks | Mon., July 4 | 8-10:30 p.m. | 500 N. Meridian Building | Free | The pyrotechnic show will be synced to patriotic music. Pro tip: The best viewing spots are the Indiana War Memorial grounds + American Legion Mall. View the map

4th of July Blast + Watch Party | Mon., July 4 | 6 p.m. | Downtown Olly’s, 822 N. Illinois St. | Free | Enjoy a VIP bar in the backyard + performances by the Dan Burnell Band. End the night by watching the fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Metazoa’s Fourth of July Celebration | Mon., July 4 | 11 a.m.-11 p.m. | 140 S. College Ave. | $10 | Join Metazoa Brewing Co. for a day of craft beer, tasty barbecue, live music, and more — the patio, dog park, and taproom will be open with outdoor yard games and skyline views.

July Fourth Celebration at Victory Field | Mon., July 4 | 6:15 p.m. | Victory Field | $14+ | Hear the crack of the bat and the pop of fireworks at this Indians game against the Iowa Cubs.

Marion County Fair Closing | Sun., July 3 | 12-11 p.m. | 7300 E. Troy Ave. | $5 | Celebrate America’s birthday + the final day of the fair at the same time. Fireworks will be launched at dusk.

All American Day in the Park | Sun., July 3 | 6-11 p.m. | Sarah T. Bouton Park, 1300 Churchman Ave., Beech Grove | Free | Kick off your Fourth of July celebrations a day early + enjoy food, music, and fireworks. 

Independence Day Social | Mon., July 4 | 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, 1230 N. Delaware St. | $3+ | Stilt walking Uncle Sam will guide you through the 23rd President’s home while you enjoy food, music, and games — reservations required

CarmelFest | Sun., July 3-Mon., July 4 | 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. | 1 Civic Square, Carmel | Free | Enjoy festival fare, live music, a parade + of course, fireworks at this annual event.

Symphony on the Prairie: Star-Spangled Symphony | Fri., July 1-Mon., July 4 | 8 p.m. | Conner Prairie | $10+ | Pack a picnic and watch the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra play songs like “Yankee Doodle” + “America the Beautiful.”
