What’s better than a local bar? A local bar with a holiday-themed pop-up.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year + there are several over-the-top holiday bars that are popping up around the city.
Sippin’ Santa, Almost Famous, 721 Mass Ave.
From now until the first week of January, Santa is hitting the beach at this tropical-themed holiday pop-up bar with tiki food and drink menus. The glassware is so cute you’ll want to take it home — and it’s for sale.
Tinseltown at Nevermore, 302 S. Meridian St.
Get in the holly jolly spirit with this Christmas-themed speakeasy. Entry is $15. Pro tip: This is for guests 21+, but there are non-alcoholic drinks available — just ask. This pop up is open weekdays 5:30-11 p.m. + Saturday-Sunday 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m.

Whoville Hideaway at The HC, 9709 E. 116th St., Fishers
Check out the second floor patio of the restaurant complete with The Grinch-themed appetizers and drinks, larger-than-life decor, festive photo-ops, and signature moments from the fictional town. The pop-up is for 21+ guests on a first come, first served basis. It’s open Saturdays–Tuesdays, 4 p.m. to close until Dec. 26 (closed Dec. 25).

A proposal to clean up downtown saw community support on Monday night. It would require all property owners within Mile Square to pay an annual fee for street cleaning, homelessness outreach workers, and surveillance cameras.
