How would you spend a day in Indy with Taylor Swift?
Fun fact: “The Eras” Tour will be only the 11th concert ever held at Lucas Oil Stadium. | Photo by Danielle Johnson
In case you live under a rock, let us inform you: We are one month out from Taylor Swift stopping in Indy for three nights of “The Eras Tour.”
While we might not have tickets to the show, what we do have is a good imagination and a love for our city. So we asked ourselves, how would we spend a day in Indy with Miss Americana?
Threw out our cloaks and our daggers because it’s morning now
Nothing says morning, his place, burnt toast like brunch at none other than His Place Eatery. We’re pretty sure they won’t burn the toast, though.
After brunch, we’re singing in the car getting lost upstate... or upcity, on our way to Fishers Flower Farm to pick up our fresh bouquet on Flower Friday. If we’re lucky, the mother-daughter team will bring back their Swiftie arrangements just for us.
And we talk and window-shop
Of course, we’ll need a new vase for our flowers, which calls for a trip to Silver In The City for a beautiful cottagecore vessel. While we’re in the area, we’ll stop by Francis + Fern for a browse of all its bejeweled goods — and to sign up for the upcoming Taylor-themed cocktail making class.
You ate at my favorite spot for dinner
As night rolls in, we’ll be in desperate need of a dinner party, so Taylor can call us out on our contrarian wit. We’ll hang out at The Cake Bake Shop — after all, Taylor does love high tea. Or at least she used to (sorry, Joe).
We’ll finish up our evening with a drive to Morse Reservoir, so we can bask in the moon like a spotlight on the lake. And since midnights have become our afternoons, maybe we’ll pack a thermos of Tinker coffee for one last cup before bedtime.
