🪡 Needle me this

Needlepoint is making a major comeback as Americans embrace “analog activities” to replace screen time.
These offline hobbies range from puzzles to scrapbooking, but needlepoint has quickly become one of the biggest standouts. If you want to try it yourself in Indy, here are a few easy ways to join the resurgence.
Take a beginner-friendly class
Zionsville’s Persnickety Stitchers has nearly a dozen classes dedicated solely to needlepoint. Bonus: Classes are scheduled on-demand, so you can get stitching tutelage no matter how busy your schedule is.
Newly-opened The Proper Stitch also offers needlepoint classes and every project under the sun in the heart of Carmel — keep an eye on its calendar, as classes sell out quickly.
Join a stitch club
Stitch Club Indianapolis meets up once a month, with 30+ members working on their projects over food, drinks, and, of course, a healthy dose of yap.
Do you know of another local shop or group helping crafters on their needlepoint journey? We’d be sew grateful if you let us know.
