Indy Urban Acres — an initiative by The Parks Alliance of Indianapolis — is celebrating spring with its annual plant sale, where you can choose from hundreds of different starter plants and vegetables to cultivate your garden this season.

The sale is now live online , but mark your calendars for the opening weekend of in-person shopping (7700 E. 21st St.), which is May 6-7. There will be live music, food, and drinks for plant enthusiasts and new gardeners alike.

Save these dates:

  • Saturday, May 13 from 10 to 11 a.m. — Native Workshop
  • Saturday, May 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. — Rain Barrel Workshop

Since 2011, Indy Urban Acres has grown from a single site, harvesting 15,000 pounds of produce to four sites harvesting 60,000+ pounds of produce. It donates and distributes 100% of the produce to partners that serve those in the community who experience food insecurity.
