It’s the month of mocktails. To start off the new year, many take part in what’s known as Dry January — a challenge that encourages people to refocus, cleanse their systems, and abstain from alcohol consumption for one month.
To make the challenge a little bit easier for you, we’ve rounded up 12 places you can find mocktails and zero proof drinks around Indy.
Sundry and Vice , 850 Mass Ave.
Stop into the Bottleworks Hotel’s bar and ask for a mocktail. There’s a menu of three different mocktails for you to choose from or you can ask the bartender can mix up a drink similar to another cocktail, made with a zero proof spirit to give it the same vibe.
Big Woods Restaurants , Multiple locations
City Editor Nicole visited the Speedway location and tried the Strawberry Tart Daiquiri — made with strawberry purée, orange juice, lime juice, and lemonade. Menus may not be the same at every Big Woods/Hard Truth location.
Blue Sushi Sake Grill , 2721 E. 86th St., Ste. 100
It has three zero proof drinks on the menu — all for $6 each, which is the cheapest we’ve seen.
The Cannon Ball Lounge , 141 Washington St.
Found on the 6th floor of Hotel Indy, you can sit back and enjoy a rooftop view alcohol-free with its zero proof menu including three signature mocktails — I Miss My Spritz, In Fashioned, and Good Graces.
The Fountain Room , 830 Mass Ave., Ste. 1480
This Bottleworks restaurant with supper club flair offers a selection of cocktails with no ABV and full flavor. Try the Crouching Tiger, the Tall, Dark & Refreshing, or the St. Agrestis “Negroni.”
16-Bit Bar + Arcade , 110 E. New York St.
Dominate some arcade games with a clear head. 16-Bit offers four different mocktails — Pinky and the Brain, Lisa Simpson, The Little Mermaid, and Optimus Prime — all for $6.
BODHI , 922 Mass Ave.
Try the non-alcoholic cocktail menu or check out the non-alcoholic section of the drink menu for a Yuzu Herb Tonic or Thai Iced Tea. City Editor Nicole recently tried the Afterlife Surprise and highly recommends.
The Inferno Room , 902 Virginia Ave.
This Fountain Square tiki bar offers three mocktail options — the Coocoonut Grove, Amaru Antivenom, and Island Time. All for $9.
The Ball & Biscuit , 331 Mass Ave.
BnB has your back during Dry January with an alcohol-free menu including seven different NA cocktails. You can even add a little something to your drink with CBD or Delta-8 for $2-3 more.
HC Tavern + Kitchen , 9709 E. 116th St.
The INDYtoday team went here for a pre-holiday break outing and we each ordered one of the zero proof cocktails. The menu includes Tavern Punch, Pineapple Nojito, and Blue Basil Spritz — $10 each.
Memento Zero Proof Lounge , 8701 E. 116th St., Ste. 145
The first zero proof bar in central Indiana is open in Fishers. It won’t be hard to go alcohol free here — everything on the menu is alcohol free.
Sun King Brewery , Multiple locations
You can still visit one of Indy’s favorite breweries during Dry January. Sun King has a non-alcoholic IPA and Cream Ale — or try its NA seltzers.
