The pandemic had a lasting impact on many areas of our lives, and one of those was the way we work. Remote work has become more and more common + according to a study by Upwork, 22% of the American workforce will be remote by 2025.

There are many pros and cons to working from home, but if you’re the type that needs to get out of the house at least once in a while — here are some coworking spaces around Indy to work from.

Maven Space, 433 N. Capitol Ave., Ste. 100
Co-founder and CEO Leslie Bailey wanted to create a “femme-powered” workspace to uplift women, so that’s exactly what she did. Maven Space is a coworking and event space that is open to everyone (not just women). It offers everything you could ever want: Private meeting + conference rooms, a cafe, a fitness + wellness center, a mother’s breastfeeding room, and a podcast studio.

Draft has lots of space from its main room to the sun room, garden, and upstairs studio and conference rooms.

Working from home can feel isolating at times. If you’re looking to connect with other remote workers and like-minded individuals in the city, check out draft. Its goal is to be a space to inspire + encourage creativity and collaboration.

This coworking space and community center on the far east side features access to on-site laundry, coffee, indoor community garden, arcade, podcast studio, fitness center, showers, and meditation room.

COhatch followed the trend of remote work + created spaces for the community to meet and work all over central Indiana. Its flagship location in Broad Ripple opened in spring 2021 and it has since added locations in Circle Center, Carmel, Noblesville, and Zionsville. A new location called Polk Stables is coming soon behind Provider off of E. 16th Street.

This coworking space is located conveniently on Mass Avenue in the Marietta Building. What makes it special? It’s dog-friendly, offers retail and dining options, and has an outdoor space.

Switchboard, 735 and 801 Shelby St.
This coworking space in the Fountain Fletcher District offers members 24/7 access and even has on-site childcare. Memberships include private conference and meeting room access, coffee and snacks, printing and scanning, and mailbox and suite numbers.
